Arrests for Heroin and Other Drugs in Monterey

Four Monterey residents have been arrested for the intent to sell drugs at a home in the 400 block of Larkin street.

On Dec. 20, Monterey Police served a search warrant on the house of Justin Kelly, 24, and Sarah Boffemmeyer, 23. Kelly was arrested for possession of heroin for sale, psilocybin mushrooms, narcotic paraphernalia and maintaining a drug house. Boffemmeyer was arrested for being under the influence of heroin, possession of paraphernalia and maintaining a drug house.

Police also arrested Samer Alwahab, 30, for possession of heroin, paraphernalia and being at a location where narcotics are used and sold and Steven Shortt, 19, for possession of paraphernalia and being at a location where narcotics are used and sold.

Kelly is being held in Monterey County Jail on $30,000 bail and Boffemmeyer on $10,000 bail.

Alwahab and Shortt were booked, but will appear in court at a later time on citations.
