Bay Bikes Takes Over Aquarian Space in Monterey

Former Aquarian Bikes customers won’t have to relocate if they’re hooked on the space next to East Village Coffee Lounge in downtown Monterey.
Bay Bikes acquired Aquarian and re-opened under its own name this month. Bay Bikes also has stores in Carmel's The Barnyard—just celebrating its first anniversary—and on Cannery Row.
The Cannery Row spot on the Rec Trail specializes in bike rentals, including four-wheel surreys and tandems, while the Barnyard store is a sprawling space with a wide selection of bikes for sale. The downtown Monterey location includes brands for the more casual cyclist, including Trek, Specialized, Electra and Surley.
