Local 'Green' Design Company Installs First Portable Classrooms
September 6, 2012
With the start of a new school year, the kids at Tierra Linda Middle School in Redwood City can expect more than just a new teacher and fresh school supplies but also new portable classrooms that look and feel a little snazzier than they might be used to.
The four classrooms installed at the middle school over the summer were designed by Green Apple Classroom, a Carmel based portable classroom company, who specializes in energy efficient portable classrooms and health conscious designs (non-toxic materials, natural lighting etc.)
This was GAC first sale, says Paul Byrne, founder and architect of GAC, but he is negotiating with a handful of potential clients. A private school in Massachusetts is likely to be the next GAC’s next sale, says Byrne.
