January 17, 2013
Four people were held at gunpoint during an armed robbery at a Salinas restaurant near Oldtown this evening, according to the Salinas Police Department.
During the robbery at Olivia's Cafe, one suspect held four customers at gunpoint, demanding they put all their cash on the table, while the another suspect took money from the cash register and the owner's purse, police say.
Afterwards, the two suspects, armed with handguns, fled toward the train station. The suspects are described as Hispanic men in their mid-30s, wearing black hoodies, black beanies, and black sunglasses. Both had their sweatshirts pulled up, exposing only their mustaches, police say.
