Two Teenagers Shot in Salinas

Just after 7pm on Monday evening, Salinas police responded to two gunshot victims in the 1200 block of East Alisal street where a 16- and 17-year-old had been shot.
One victim was flown to a hospital in the Bay Area, while the other was brought into surgery at a local hospital in Salinas.
Neighbors reported to police they saw two males wearing dark-colored, hooded sweatshirts running from the scene.
This incident is being investigated as gang-related.
