The second annual Salinas Valley Half Marathon started off from Soledad Mission at 8am this morning under a cloudy sky. Just over an hour later, Daniel Tapia crossed the finish line at Pessagno Winery on River Road in Gonzales. The mid-20s Castroville resident won the 2010 Big Sur International Marathon as well.
18 minutes past the hour Cynthia Vielma finished at the top female runner.
