PHOTOS: Kim Boekbinder's "The Impossible Girl" at The Alternative Cafe

In the raise of a curtain, Kim Boekbinder went from a shiny, gold dress to a sequined outfit of bright purples and greens.
Boekbinder played her first Monterey County show in nearly eight months on Friday evening at The Alternative Cafe. A full crowd in the cozy coffeeshop and art house watched as she sang sad romance tunes and audience sing-alongs about being a pirate, during her one-hour set.
