PHOTOS: 2011 American Le Mans Series Monterey

Saturday's six-hour endurance race was ultimately determined in the final 15 minutes as the favored teams and cars went through dramatic final laps with last-minute tire changes and spin outs.
The overall victors and winner of the Le Mans Prototype class were Adrian Fernandez and Harold Primat of Aston Martin Racing in their Lola B09 60. Their contenders—Guy Smith and Chris Dyson in Dyson Racing's Lola B09 86—were last year's winners in Monterey.

The fan favorite team was Flying Lizard Racing who took first place in the GT class and finished 11th overall.
