PHOTOS: Mixed-Martial Arts in Salinas

The hometown fan base was in full force during Superbrawl at Sherwood Hall in Salinas when many local fighters dominated the mixed-martial arts fights on Saturday.
Maybe most impressive was 45-year-old Brian Pacis, a fighter at Kugtar gym in North Salinas who made his MMA debut and won over 22-year-old Art Alvarado in the featherweight division.
Another Kugtar fighter, Jaime Alvarado, beat John Mathison in the heavyweight division.
In the title fight, however, Kugtar's Lee Roy Castro lost to reigning belt holder Sergio Machado in three rounds.
