PHOTOS: Funeral for Army Spc. Vilmar Galarza Hernandez

United States Army Spc. Vilmar Galarza Hernandez of Salinas was laid to rest today after he was killed on May 26 while serving in Zharay, Afghanistan.
Hernandez, 21 succumbed to wounds caused by an improvised explosive device.
During the service at the Garden of Memories cemetery in Salinas, his family was presented with medals he had been awarded including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
Hernandez survived by his parents, Pedro and Gregoria, his brother Marvin and his wife Margarita Contreras.
