7166 Carmel Valley Road, Carmel Valley
Though Baja Cantina is a frequent winner of the county’s best margaritas, this popular Carmel Valley restaurant and bar is not afraid to mix things up. It just unveiled a new margarita menu geared toward variety and fresh ingredients. One new entry is the $25 “High Class Margarita,” a mix of top shelf Clase Azul Tequila, Cointreau, a fresh squeezed orange, a fresh squeezed lemon, a fresh squeezed lime and some Grand Marnier. Another intriguing debut item is a Brazilian Margarita, with acai berry liqueur, cachaca (Brazil’s take on rum), tequila, fresh lime and orange juices and a splash of pineapple juice. Don’t worry—they’re keeping popular cocktails like the “Partida Margarita” on the new menu.
