(831) 373-2631, www.spcamc.org

Volunteers at the SPCA for Monterey County dedicate a collective 52,522 hours per year. Calculate that with the price of minimum wage and you have $472,693 worth of free labor. The reward of volunteering is clear – helping in the process to rehabilitate domestic and wild animals to adoptability or return to the wild. There are multiple avenues for helping the nonprofit. With training, volunteers do everything from assist at the animal health clinic to muck horse stables to work at the glamorous SPCA benefit shop.
