Edgar’s at Quail Lodge in Carmel Valley celebrates Fathers Day with a barbecue. Enjoy a slow-smoked barbecue family platter with beef tri-tip, barbecue chicken, spicy sausage and chipotle-rubbed king salmon, plus sides like mashed potatoes, sweet corn succotash, macaroni and cheese and garlic bread for $75. Hahn Family Wines is firing up the grill for barbecue on the deck of the winery’s estate tasting room in Soledad. Spend the Sunday under the sun with barbecue and wine. 11am-5pm, $25, 678-4555 for reservations.

Bernardus Lodge & Spa has an afternoon of brunch, beer and bocce for dad at Lucia Restaurant & Bar. A grand barbecue buffet offers burgers, free-range chicken and artisan sausages, plus all the fixin's. After brunch, try your hand at bocce and croquet.
