Marina really knows how to enjoy labor day and they've been doing it for years. There's the parade fronted by various men and women in uniform, who are then followed by various community organizations and local public figure. In parades past, there have been showings of marching bands playing tidbits of fight songs, dance teams and companies to previewing choreography, and mayors and supervisors  emulating royalty by sitting and waving in fancy cars speeding no more than 5mph. That portion of the festivities begins at 11am starting from Crescent Avenue down Reservation, before ending at Vince DiMaggio Park. The ending is convenient, as that's where the participatory fun begins. There's a classic car show, a bounce house, face paint, food trucks courtesy of The Choke Coach and La Paloma and live music by Pan Dulce and Tatiana War Machine. [MA]
