The Weekly’s music writer Adam Joseph once dubbed Dave Holodiloff the “hardest working-musician in Monterey.” He’s not wrong. Holodiloff is booked out nearly every weekend and some weekdays for months, playing everything from solo private and public events to gigs with his duo, trio and every other configuration of local musical talent. He’s bringing his talented sextet to the Center for Spiritual Awakening for a night of high energy acoustic music, featuring the CSA’s own musical director and piano prodigy Michael Martinez, Elijjah McCullar (violin/banjo), Lex Olsen (guitar), Will Bates (percussion), and John Klein (bass). Holodiloff will lead on mandolin and vocals, playing songs that will lift the spirits of fans of bluegrass, celtic, gypsy, jazz, folk, Balkan and funk. It’s a night of song that will appeal to all ages. [PM]
