Oh, ’90s indie rock. It's sad girl music. It's the bedroom boredom soundtrack. And if you listen to it now, you're probably really hip.  It's a whole lot of things. And the Lab maybe bold saying that this kind of rock was a "golden age," but hell, they maybe right. This listening party is an ode to the Breeders and their album Last Splash which is turning 26 years old. But it's not just a bunch of nostalgic millennials listening to a single album—we have varied taste, OK? The lineup of tunes will include music from Neutral Milk Hotel, Superchunk, Guided by Voices and more. The party will also veer into "alt" territory with Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies and Beck. You can thank DJ Wax By the Sea for the live spinning and the cool (mostly) indie rock videos playing the backgroun. Don your chokers and maybe even watch some Boy Meets World. Just get into it, OK? Because the young kids say these today, it's a big mood. [MA]
