This has been a banner year for Irish singer-songwriter Keith Harkin, who once described his music as “folky, country-rock, pop.” He and wife Kelsey Harkin welcomed their first baby, son Weylyn, in May. His album Ten Years Later debuted in August and he’s got a Christmas album coming out by Thanksgiving. He’s currently on a North American leg of the Keith Harkin World Tour. The former lead singer of the mega-successful Celtic Thunder has found his own success with four solo albums, the first 12 years ago released with the help of Grammy award-winning producer David Foster. The self-titled album went all the way to the top of the charts in the U.S. and Canada. He’s been on the road this year with the help of Big Van Morrison—a large gray van he modified as a mini-touring vehicle with a bed, a small refrigerator and places for his wardrobe and guitars.
