Disney's remake of Ariel maybe catching heat, but there's still a lot of love for the fanciful fairytales. PacRep is adapting one of those beloved fairtytales to the stage with Beauty and the Beast. The story follows the imaginative book lover, Belle, as see finds herself as a hostage of "The Beast," who in real life is actually a handsome prince imprisoned in a monstrous body by a sorceress who is punishing him for his greedy and quick-tempered behavior. Belle makes the best of her situation, befriending the servants—who are also trapped in odd forms like teacups, wardrobes, candleholders and clocks. It'll all have a happy ending, but there are plenty of lessons learned, friends made and music to sing.
