With songs like "Golden Coconut", "Electric Witch's Brew" and "Coulda Woulda", Scott Cooper & the Barrelmakers bring a show of original songs and obscure covers. The Santa Cruz-based band is made of musicians who have worked with members of legendary jam bands like Furthur, Grateful Dead, Dark Star Orchestra and the Doobie Brothers, to name a few. Scott Cooper (guitar, songs, vocals), Lachlan Kane (piano, songs, vocals), Terry Shields (bass, vocals), Mark Corsolini (drums, vocals) and Scott Walker (lap steel guitar) cook up their own flavor of Americana which tastes something like country, classic rock, blues and an unidentified tropical spice. Attendees can feel free to bring their favorite toast, there will be plenty of jam. [VS]
