Five adult siblings come together and commiserate in a hospital over the imminent death of their father, and in the wake reflect on their adult lives while ghosts haunt their physical and psychic space. Sarah Ruhl’s play comes from a personal place (her father died of cancer, and her mother played a lead character in the play’s debut), and mixes realistic scenarios with remembrance with flights of fantasy, especially when the siblings talk about Peter Pan. This is a work about trying to work through the trials and ironies of adulthood. It runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 14-29, and is selling out fast. [WR]
