Big Sur Fiddle Camp provides young musicians the opportunity to learn and expand their stringed musical abilities in one of the most picturesque locations in Big Sur. The setting is important because they're not just not just learning skills from musical masters. They roam around the property, play soccer, help prepare group meals, swim and hike. It's like the platonic ideal of an arts education. But it takes some time, love and money to keep it going which is why expert fiddler Edwin Huizinga is coming together with other expert musicians and performers to raise money for the camp. The multi-part concert will include William Coulter on guitar,  Kristhya Benitez on the keys, Geogry Gusav on cello,  Fiona Gillespie on vocals and John Weed and Huizinga on fiddle. Additionally, Santa Cruz's Erin Carey of the Radical Movement Factory preforms aerial gymnastics to the world class tunes. It's a small but impressive force of musicians and artists from around the world, but it's for a pretty enormous cause: keeping arts education alive. [MA]
