Formerly from San Diego but now basically relocated to Big Sur, Holiday and the Adventure Pop Collective (HATAPCO) is a unique band led by songwriters Derric Oliver and Louis Caverly. Employing a wide range of instrumentation including tuba and fiddle, the group creates expansive pop rock and country. HATAPCO's 2007 release Songs for Feeling Strong was recorded in Al Jardine's (Beach Boys) Red Barn Studios and includes a cover of the Beach Boys' "Surfer Girl" with Jardine adding vocals.
