Before playing with Homeland Serenity, the group's band leader Mac Talley was a member of the New Wave inspired Jupiter Vox and the power pop group Foamscape. The band covers Wilco and Neil Young and does originals like "Voice of a Generalization," a diss of pop princesses done over acoustic guitar strums overlaid with electric guitar lines.
