Hard traveling provides an endless source of inspiration for singer-songwriter Jordan Smart.

The Young and the Restless: The songs of folk heroes Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan motivated Jordan Smart to search for his songwriting mojo on the open road.

Tunes like “Truth” – a descendent of Dylan’s traveling, honky tonk-flavored “Freight Train Blues” – highlight Smart's ability to paint an honest, and not necessarily positive, portrait of his life.

“Where’d all my money go? I thought I still had a dime,” Smart sings in a voice that sounds like a homeless John Mayer.
