The Lightfighters

Since 2007, The Lightfighters has been churning out a blend of alternative rock, blues and soul, which the blond lead singer describes as a “kind of a smorgasbord of sound with a lot of stuff going on.”

On the outfit’s debut Behind the Tides – recorded and mixed completely in guitarist Jonathan Griffin’s home studio – “Mirrorball” stands out as an ode to ’80s alt-rock and mid-’90s twee: think The Smiths meet Belle and Sebastian. But on the tune “De-volution,” they show versatility with some uplifting Bonnie Raitt-esque blues.
