Del Rey Oaks Councilman Jeff Cecilio stormed out of the City Council meeting tonight, fuming that his colleagues were prolonging how to respond to a recent vote of no confidence against Mayor Joe Russell.

The council was about to vote on having City Manager Daniel Dawson conduct fact finding into the allegations and schedule a follow up public meeting when Cecilio angrily questioned what the end goal of the plan was.

"Let's cut the crap and get to the bottom. I think this is a waste of time. The employees have spoken. We have spoken. Let's get down to it," Cecilio said.

(Earlier this week Cecilio told the Weekly that the mayor should resign). Cecilio then took to the podium, saying "he's a loose cannon. That's my opinion. He's disrespectful. He's disgruntled. I'm not taking it anymore."

He then stormed out of City Hall, slamming the door behind him.
